“After initially meeting Charisse, I knew we had to have her facilitate one of our national SIM Women webinars. Her talk on "Clear your Clutter, Clear your Mind" applied to both physical clutter in your office space and inner clutter that blocks your creativity. She was very well received via the SIM Women webinar and at the breakfast table discussion she led at the SIM Philadelphia Technology Leadership Summit.”

We have worked with Charisse for years now. We have done small projects from hanging artwork and determining the best location for a child's bed to whole house projects. Charisse has come to the paint store the tile store and the department store with me. We have picked out paint colors, matching tiles and then off to get new bedding or fabric and pillows for furniture. I never feel rushed and I always feel part of the process. Charisse is professional, timely and dependable and has amazing talent. She has the ability to walk into a home and really understand and appreciate a person or family's need. Charisse notices everything, she has the ability to really tie an entire home together all the while keeping individuality alive in different rooms. She always includes all family members in the process, understanding that spouses and children want to be heard and have their opinions heard and incorporated into the final product.
We always get compliments on our fabric choices and our window treatments are original and beautifully made. We wouldn't know what to do without Charisse, she makes you want to keep even after the project is long done!

A staple reference guide in my homes and often in use!
‘The Bathroom Book’ is as visually appealing as a tower of pastel macaroons, but it is not ethereal prose on its pages. This is a substantial, delicious cupcake blending Charisse Marei’s personal, practical recipe book for creating and maintaining a home as a haven (or, heaven) that delights and soothes all one’s senses.
We live in an era of ever increasing stimuli that challenges the balance and sense of well-being we all seek. We also live in a time of great convenience in that we can invite the best of the natural world’s substances into our homes in a conscious, healthy, heart-centered way. We are nurtured, and become better nurturers to our loved ones and to the world beyond our own world as a result.
‘The Bathroom Book’ gives generously and comprehensively, as well as invites the reader into creative collaboration, again and again.
A staple reference guide in my homes and often in use! Enjoy!

Long before feng shui and in-home environmental concerns were understood as important, Charisse had those concerns. From her beginnings in the design of aircraft interiors, regardless of the safety concerns they require, she was vigilant toward the health of passengers in small spaces with close proximity to others. She helped design my 650 square-foot solo-practitioner healthcare office and provided valuable input for the 4,000 square-foot fully-custom home in which I dwell. Her team work approach, effective and professional manner of communication and charm allows everyone in a project to meld their talents into one coordinated effort that we who are not in a creative-arts field can relax. sit-back and enjoy seeing the environment being created right in front of our eyes.

One Room at a Time: Eco-Conscious Home was written by Charisse Marei, first time author. The interactive book is very informative. It gently inspires readers to reflect on their childhood home experiences. It also shows how to detoxify, organize, and declutter the bathroom and every room. A fantastic read.

You have indeed written a beautiful book. A beautiful and thoughtfully written treaties on the "Eco-Conscious Home" as a metaphor for releasing what no longer serves while bringing in and creating exquisite order around us. As this carefully written book suggests, our home reflects our personalities and offers an opportunity for creating greater beauty and orderliness in our surroundings and our lives.
Hail to a thoughtful guidebook encouraging each of us to de-clutter and create beauty according to our own preferences. And, of course, your ecological consciousness, your environmental sensitivity, and your interest in promoting the health of your readers makes the book especially valuable.
